The Nehalennia,

a Nauticat 321, was build in 2001 at the Siltala (Nauticat) Yard Oy near the city of Turku in Finland. Upon completion she was brought to Hamburg in Germany for a boat show.

In 2002 she was sold to her first owner, who gave her the name Asgard. For the next ten years she sailed under German Flag mostly in the Baltic Sea and was sold to her present owner in 2013.

The present owner changed her name to Nehalennia, on the 17th of August 2013. Nehalennia is the name of the Celtic-Germanic Goddess attributed with power over trading and shipping on the North Sea. The renaming ceremony took place in the town of Burgstaaken on the isle of Fehmarn, with regard to all the rules given by Neptune, in order to obtain a further protection for her and all who sail on her.

Nehalennia's maiden trip, now sailing under the Dutch Flag, brought her to the town of Makkum in the Netherlands, which became her new home port.
